The Frustrated Soul

The Frustrated Soul

The frustrations and irritations of daily life pushes us to a point that we either excel and succeed, or break down.

The question is how much each of us are built to bear and withstand.

What aspect of life is frustrating for us?

For me, almost everything...someone like me having an opinion on many subjects, and feel a need to express my views, will find many things wrong and boil to a point of outrage.

To begin with, commuting in a city like Bangalore itself is so frustrating almost every time. The auto, cab guys and many 2 wheelers having no respect to rules nor have any discipline while driving. Be it driving in wrong direction or taking a turn at high speeds without concern or care for people coming from opposite direction.

People just stop or park causing obstruction to traffic.

I and many of my friends take lot of efforts to park our Car, especially in narrow lanes, but many Car owners just park as per their convenience and unapologetically get going.

One day in an extremely small lane, a mini truck was unloading some goods at the peak hour, and when I and my friend countered him, he had the audacity to say "I also pay Road Tax, I will park whenever I want!"

And honking! Man, I just do not understand why people honk so madly. Another nuisance is the usage of High Beam in city traffic!

Try arguing and countering these guys causing nuisance, forget acknowledging their mistake, they start abusing you with no logic or sense.

With all these irritations, I am not even talking about those unruly set of boys and men who play road rash in the city traffic.

And to add salt to the wound, the Traffic cops, who find easy bakhras in us than stopping the maniacs on the road.

The news and media using their platform to push their agenda is another frustrating point. They feed people with all venom by showing a clip 1000 times a day, thereby easily influencing the nation's mood and thought process.

Politics, politicians and their ideology is a different animal, which I have written many articles and write ups to express my concerns on how they are leading our country. The blind "Clapping boys" who pounce on you for expressing opinion and questioning the people in authority. The WhatsApp and FB forwards praising some unknown and unseen achievements of their favourite leader, rather than worrying about laws and policies that is badly impacting our daily lives.

The unwanted, unimportant agenda being pushed to hush up mismanagement and flaws is disturbing to see.

I am of the opinion Democracy itself must change it's shape and definition.

More than the situation, people around us are the irritants:

- people filled with negativity and negative thoughts

- people who crib, whine and are fussy. Especially in hotels, who always create a scene and fight with poor servers

- people who publicly abuse and critisize parents and spouse

- people who are inefficient and dumb

- people who are selfish and self-centred

- people who are rude, unfriendly, critisizing their own people at home

Irony, we come across these people everyday and can't get rid of them.

Those are just few things that bothers us almost daily, apart from the regular frustrations at work.

Aren't we tired of the monotony of dealing with these frustrations and living with it?

- tired of being angry

- tired of dealing with inefficient people

- tired of pretending

- tired of feeling helpless and stuck

- tired of being different

- tired of just being tired?

Lucky are those who don't have opinion and just keep minding their own business and nothing around them, affects them.

Can we liberate ourselves from this cycle of monotony?

Why do we have to lead such a conventional life?

The answer is the responsibilities that each of us have.

The duties and responsibilities binds us and keeps us handcuffed to the circumstances.

As long as we keep mounting ourselves by building houses, buying properties, bringing more children to this world, it can only enslave ourselves to fulfilling their maintenance needs.

Breaking the shackles, finding peace away from all these frustrations, finding answer to liberate would indeed be a dream come true for any frustrated soul!
