Rama Rajya in the making...

Rama Rajya in the making...

By

Murali Murthy

The group arrested for security breach in the parliament, have submitted to the court that they were tortured to name opposition's involvement.

A man in Gujarat built a Rama temple overnight on the rooftop along with idols of Modi and Yogi, to avoid demolition by the authorities of his illegal construction. And it worked, the authorities were confused and gave him further 7 days to submit documents.

Ordinary citizens are looted with skyrocketing fuel prices, with absolutely no bearing or link to international crude oil prices. Electoral Bonds, ED, IT have been used to either extort money from the wealthy or silence opposition. Heads of ED, EC, Judges are being controlled. Over 11 Lakh Crores loan waived for the rich, but officers harass cash crunched small companies like ours to squeeze even few thousands on TDS/GST dues.

While it is beautifully articulated that what is happening is Nation-building, but what could be happening is Empire-building.

The Ram Temple is an impetus to the narrative that nationalism is being merged into craving for religion Love.

Even Shri Ram would be running off saying "Please run elections on your own dude, stop abusing me and my name"!!

Modi changed the game of politics, it's all about narratives, hard selling those narratives and mastery in trolling opposition that can make the country laugh.

It is the fitoor of emperors, kings, rulers and dictators to leave a mark on the history, of their legacy in form of monuments.

The man who is never used to answering, is a master of speeches. Even his parliamentary time is filled with Monologues and speeches, which he has undoubtedly become proficient in.

He has used the Parliament as a forum to abuse and belittle Opposition to thunderous claps and uproar of laugh by his partymen and his Bhakts. It is evident in his wicked smiles, in the tone, in his body language that he is deriving sadistic pleasure while trolling the opposition.

The lack of opposition, non existent of other prominent parties have surely given him electoral boost and this perceived success has surely gone on to his head, with the audacity blatant amongst his clan.

Modi has surely changed the perception of a Ruler.. I know we are a democracy, but things have changed since last 10 years. Democracy has died a fast death, since it's no more representative democracy, but it's about one Ruler!

Pappu and alikes who haven't upgraded with this new definition are miserably failing as they are still stuck with traditional politics, as they are forced to be more creative, do more antics and more artistic.

The credits taken for the claimed achievements is unfortunately seen only in pamphlets and Govt marketing materials.

It looks fishy everytime his Bhakts post the forwarded pamphlets constantly chest beating the achievements, they are so much into this Love and Lust relation that it has become their obligation to defend everything he does.

Gabbar also didn't have a family, he still made a living by looting people - Relatable!?

His cult followers are so aggressive that they just cannot tolerate any opposition or questioning their Master. They turn a blind eye to every flaw, failure, mismanagement, ill placed agendas.

No wonder similar cult leaders like Nityananda has blind followers, something to do with our mindset!

They are not named Blind Bhakts just like that. Any funny posts, any posts with stats, with him faltering in speeches, horrible pronounciation, false statements, statistically wrong data, or him acting in front of the Camera, highlighting sufferings under his rule, his follower's dumb reaction would be "Whatever you post will not bother us, we will still vote for him"

"How dare you criticize the PM of our country"....or the best reaction to whatever logic we put - "Jai Sri Ram", "Jai Modi".

We all love ourselves, but I have never seen someone so much in love with self. Disguising under love for nation, love for people, love for religion, it's about himself and his image as an emperor, so much so that his speeches will be filled with him addressing himself as a third person and praising that person!

Unconnected - In the days of Kings, they used to employ people, whose job profile was just to raise slogans, sing and praise him everyday in the Darbar. The intent was to publicize the King's achievements, boost King's ego and make the King and his subjects feel the King is important.

With this mass hysteria, it is futile to say anything, as this Zombiness is catching up faster than a wild fire with elections staring at us. Yet, it was necessary to atleast put all views in public. If not for today, when the future generations Google, they should get to know that even in this era, there were other views and few of us believed it was ok to question, it was ok to be unbiased, and some of us believed that even Modi was just another politician, living to win elections, hungry to be in Power!

It is an absolute waste of money, energy, time and resources in running Elections, since it is obvious that Modi will come back to power again in 2024.

A clueless opposition with no alternate agenda to Emotions, stand no chance!

The stage is set, with the propoganda Movies, Temples, Petrol/Diesel/LPG prices slashed just before the elections, all check boxes have been ticked to further rub the emotional stimuli, enough to win yet another elections. Just to be on safer side, the opposition leaders are arrested, accounts frozen, final nail in the coffin for Electoral Democracy!

As I have said before, how much ever I hate Modi, his style, his self importance, his self pity, his self proclamations, his self love, his propogandizing skills, Modi was surely needed for India. He changed the perception of politics, took a notch up from representative democracy to presidential democracy, which is definitely not bad. People in power are bound to loot, but he showed legitimate means to loot, and scams are surely not the smartest option other parties have traditionally followed.

For his charisma, aura, personality, the command, respect, trust he has gained, unchallenged & decisive leadership, I would have liked him to remain grounded, humble. I was once a proud follower of the same Modi, when he initially sold hope, vision.

If curiosity killed the cat, audacity will dethrone an emperor!

The Poet in me - 7

I am blessed, but only to a point

I trust you,
I know am blessed,
I can feel you around when I need,
You never let me down,
I am grateful to you,
When I lose all hopes, you do your magic and life comes alive,
When I am about to drown, when I give up,
You come and lift me up and save me,
I get elated when I see your hand come out of nowhere and lift me,
But everytime I am left surprised with the amount of lift you give,
Only so much that I don't drown,
I don't know if you are having fun seeing me continue to struggle until the next time I drown.
Am I your amusement,
Am I your lab rat.
I know it's not about the song & dance everytime,
I know the roles that we both have, for me to function,
I will never know what you are upto, though we both are very tight and strong together.
It's like both the hands look very similar, yet different functions,
The Right hand writes at ease, and the left hand is as if it's illiterate and can't even write a letter!

The Cosy pains

I run back to the past,
I feel like going back to the old situation,
The past and situations that I always wanted to free myself from,
I am finally free from them,
Yet this strange feeling of going back to them.
Probably the old wounds are way too familiar,
I am assuming I was way too comfortable with the trauma of the wounds,
In a bid to survive, I got cosy with the pain.

Unremembered explorer of life

Wandering in the woods of wisdom,
Finding the undefinable,
Searching for that unquestioned,
Believing in the undeniable,
Chasing the unreachable,
Embracing the discomforts.
...yet another nameless, unremembered explorer of life and beyond!

Grateful & Blessed

I am standing here, with my folded hands,
I am standing here, thanking you,
I am standing here, being grateful to you,
I am standing here, feeling privileged, feeling blessed,
Yet, I am standing here, with new list of requests, every time I stand in front of you.

Gussa thook dho

Jal rahe the hum iss aag mein,
Saans le rahe the hum garam hava ka,

If life was a kitchen
If life was a kitchen,
You were breaking plates and not hearts,
If life was a kitchen,
You were throwing knives and not words,
If life was a kitchen,
You were cooking meals and not stories,
If life is a kitchen,
Let's cook love together,
If life is a kitchen,
Let's serve some tasty food to others,
Let's cook, let's serve, let's eat and let's shit and not cook shit.
What happens in the kitchen, stays in the kitchen.

End of the road

Living is desiring,
Desires have hope,
Hope has efforts,
Efforts have failures,
Failures have sadness,
Sadness has pain,
Pain hurts,
Hurting is kind of fun,
And I am having fun,
Love & people around to run the fun,
Fun till the end of the road,
No one knows what really happens at the end of the road.

The two sounds of Udupi

The two sounds of Udupi

By

Murali Murthy

It's about 2 sounds...The one that you hear, the one that comes from inside.

The sound of "Krishnaya Namaha" chants at Udupi Krishna temple, and the sound of the emotions & bhakthi I feel inside,

The rhythmic sound that comes from the Dakke (Drum) during Dakkebali, and the sound of energy & vibrations I sense inside,

The sound of the splashing waves, and the sound of the silence and calmness inside me,

The crunching sound when I munch on Mandakki upkari, and the sound of the soul satisfying taste.

I don't know how to express in words what I feel each time I visit the Parashurama Kshetra, it gives new experiences, it makes me feel the power of the divine, it makes me feel closer to the nature, it makes me feel the god and goodness. It's a mixed feeling of being content to realize how blessed I am, at the same time feel frustrated at the miserable, mechanical, mundane life filled with artificiality, amidst insanity, mediocrity amongst irrational, mindless people, in a frenzy city like Bangalore, living in the concrete jungle, where sun shine won't fall, and no water in the ground.

Only Krishna can save me from all these! Hopefully Soon!

Another event at Saligrama, and a reason to visit Udupi.

Off late I prefer to travel by Train to Udupi, than driving down...maybe the age is showing up, both for me and my Car!

It's a relaxing journey, especially when you travel with family and elderly.

As we reached Udupi early in the morning, we checked into the Hotel Krishna Residency and quickly got ready to start the Trip with darshana of Krishna. After a satisfying Darshana, Seve and experiencing Krishna, had a sumptuous meal at Chowki Pankthi at Krishna Mutt.

I had booked a self drive Car as it was a 4 day long stay at Udupi, and had lined up lot of travel around.

We visited Maiya's ancestral home at Udyavara, picked up Preeti's parents and started the outing from Vinayaka Temple in their village.

The destination for the day was Anantha Padmanabha Temple in Perdooru, 22 KMs from Udupi.

A beautiful temple with a picturesque pond was just so calming. Offering Banana to the deity is the ritual here.

A pitstop at Mantapa hotel is mandatory, that serves some tasty local delicacies.

Next day, again started the day having darshan of Krishna.

We headed to spend the day at Puthige moola Mutt, 17 KMs away from Udupi.

My second visit to the Mutt, extremely calming experience, and it being a Vidyapeeta as well, the class rooms, the synchronised chants by the Students, beautiful nature around with River flowing besides the Mutt, it was oozing divinity.

The main purpose of this trip - to be part of Dakkebali event. Ashwin & Deepti also joined that day. Dakkebali is a form of worship local to Tulunadu. It's both artistic and spritual, as the deity is called upon by playing music, Dakke instrument, dance, flowers, festivity, until the deity possess the executant. Once he is possessed, the priests and the localites puts Prashne seeking answers to problems of individuals and general societal issues. It is gripping to listen to those conversations of the Deity and the Localites.

It was my 3rd experience of Dakkebali/Kola and it was the same electrifying, intense and goosebumps moment to watch the proceedings.

The ritual got over by midnight, and Dinner was served at the Temple - Brahmalingeshwara Temple in Yedbettu.

I had never eaten such a elaborate, tasty 5 course meal at that hour!

One day, and two completely contrasting experiences! My perception of spirituality was challenged with a calm, knowledge seeking divinity, and on the other hand, this intense ritual of getting the deity to speak!

Next day we started the day bit late, and we headed for Nagana puje at Nagana katte belonging to Maiya family.

We came back to Udyavara for breakfast and enjoyed the local delicacy - Kotte Kadbu. I have written earlier as well how beautiful Preeti's ancestral house is!

Lots of places were lined up for the day.

We drove to Guru Narasimha Temple in Saligrama, did seve there and Lunch as well.

After a super tasty lunch at the temple, we rested for a while, before we proceeded to our next place - Anegudde.

The famous Anegudde Vinayaka temple is a place where we usually do not miss during Udupi trips

The next stop was GowrigaDhe/Huvinakere. It was a special place, as Sri Vadirajaru was born here.

It was a spellbound moment, as it was a place all of us felt good to visit.

Guddattu Ganapathi was our next destination.

We ended our temple run at Kalinga mardhana Krishna mandira in Neelavara. It is infact a massive Goshala that houses over 3000 cows of various breeds. The caretaker was excited and elated to show us around.

The Krishna Mandira is a beautiful setup in the middle of a man made Pond.

The last day of the trip, and we spent more time at Krishna Mutt in the morning, extremely happy and elated to have very good darshan of Krishna.

Second half was a short drive to Kallu Ganapathi, a small hillock and a 500 years old small temple between the rock boulders. The rock formations overlooks a beautiful stream of river, nature's wonder deserves all the appreciation and respect.

In the evening, the ladies got busy with shopping at Udupi. The only dull and boring moment for me at Udupi!

We ended the trip at Pithrody Beach and witnessed an amazing view of the sunset.

We returned back by night train and here I am back to Bangalore, with 100s of mails in the Inbox, payments to be made, payments to be followed up, back to the grind, yet replaying the magical, heavenly, beautiful 4 days we spent at Udupi.

Every visit makes me feel I am better connected to the world, in better control of myself and my temper, I am myself when in Udupi.

But now, back to the grind, leading a Deja Vu life!

The spritual connect, the feel of spiritualism is real and people here practice, live, breath Hindu culture and rituals.

The pseudo Hindus, and the politicians pushing their agenda and propoganda that Hinduism is in danger falls flat on their face if they even come out of their bubble.

If Hinduism is in danger, it's because of us Hindus not practicing our culture, living in Cities & Abroad without any connect to the Nature, inclined to believe modern day Gurus, new age spirituality and trusting Politicians to protect Hinduism than practicing what it preaches!
