Let's celebrate life

Let's celebrate life

by
MURALI MURTHY

We might not be the ones to change the world. We might not belong to the few that “leave a mark in the universe.” We might not be something the whole world would celebrate. But...In the little corners that we live; in the lives that we’ve played a part in, we should be nothing but unforgettable.

Life is made of small yet precious moments, all we have to do is celebrate these everyday.

As they say life in incomplete without Love, I say life is incomplete if it's not filled with celebrations.

With eyebrows raised, questions asked for the reason I celebrate every birthday, anniversary and new years so hard, I found it strange to explain why I do so.

I believe in celebrating every occasion, every event and create memories for ourselves.

Celebrations create memories that helps us remember a birthday, a anniversary for a long time.

Celebrating an event need not always be about partying or going out, gifting someone is an important part of celebration.

More than the price you pay for the gift, its the thoughtfulness and mind that goes behind buying a good gift.

I love gifting people, and few of them infact curiously wait for the unique gifts I pickup for them.

It's a great feeling to gift someone, and the happiness, smile on their face you see while they receive the gift.

Gifting someone is a symbolic exchange of love and care.

Not many of us are good in expressing love and telling someone how much they mean to you and how much they are important to you, gifting them on their birthdays or any special occassion does the magic in expressing your love and affection towards that person, be it the love of your life, spouse, sibling, parents or a friend.

The gifts We share with each other are deeply felt from within, that neither of us forget.

Apart from all the material things I gift to my wife, I am gifting her and myself, even more precious thing - beautiful memories by way of unique ways of celebrating her birthdays and our anniversaries. The experience, memories, the gifts are all being recorded within us and in our cameras...these would be the precious moments we will remember in our later years and with a satisfaction of having lived a happy and memorable rides together.

And my craze for gifting others is not limited to my wife, I gift everyone I know on their birthdays and anniversaries.

I love to keep the gifts creative, personalized and a suprise.

Sometimes, I just carry a box of sweet, a Chocolate or some snacks when I visit someone's place. It adds to the joy of meeting.

So, stop saving money and living your life stuck with your routine, stop saving money for the later days and waste your precious prime years of your life. What's the use of the money you have saved, that is only intended to help you drag your suffering days. Instead let your later years be spent remembering the beautiful memories and celebrations, the happiness and satisfaction you get by those memories will probably be a better healer.

Am aghast to see many around me are insulting themselves by just living life and spending days. They do not have even an iota of understanding as to how beautiful life is, unless you see it, experience it and live it to the fullest. Once you start living intensely, only then will you come to recognize your self, then you will be surprised how different you are, in your responses, in your actions - In Your Individuality, only then will you appreciate the uniqueness of others, not before. So, start living joyously, Celebrate Life!

    1. Thanks Deepthi, unable to take out time to celebrate our own birthdays and anniversaries, is just an excuse. I would rather say it's a sin to say there's no time to celebrate.
Atleast, I have made it a habit!
