Sexuality, Sensuality

Skimpy Women

This trend of skimpy clad / barely clothed women has been making rounds on Instagram for sometime now.

When those celebrities, actresses bare it all on Insta, probably we don't see it to be abnormal, as we are used to it and accept as norm in the glam industry.
The trend is now quickly spilling out of Insta, and we can see such barely dressed ordinary women on the streets & Pubs.
With trendsetters like Urfijaved or the newest craze to travel on Metro trains, How are we supposed to see this? Sometimes I feel it's fine and few other times I am concerned.
This is what few on various social media platform has to say:
- Cultural genocide/victims of women empowerment
- Life has come full circle, people are going back to pre-civilization days
- Let them choose what they want to wear, we aren't Talibans
- Problem with parvarish
- It's a sense of security a girl feels in public.
- In this chaotic life, just see it as Live Entertainment and chill!
What's your take?

The place to rest

You know my favourite place to rest? It's the place nothing but the best, Everytime I am there, it feels like a nest, That place is on my woman's chest. It's like a playground, I will be spellbound, The emotions turnaround, Between the mound, I sleep so sound.

Theory of Attraction

I have a theory that might be the answer to the eternal question "Why do men always find other women attractive? Why do few women explore love outside marriage?"

A women is the most wonderful creation of God and is designed to attract Men. When men see women dressed well, elegantly sway, aptly revealing, we get attracted. Men see attractive women, who are sensuous and proudly displaying their womanhood, we easily get attracted to them.
On the other hand, men see their wives in boring night dress, not presentable through out the day, and all other daily irritants.
It is a known fact that Men desire attractive, sensuous women. When the intimacy fades, life on bed becomes boring and monotonous, men do not think twice if they get an opportunity to bed with any other woman.
Men reach a point where fantasizing other woman becomes more sensual that actually doing it with wife.

All men need is a good Sex Life, good intimate relation, women taking lead on the bed, being responsive on bed, he expects her to do all that is shown in porn movies.
When he doesn't get these, he is attracted to the imagination that other women could be good with all those!

Women on the other hand just want to be cared, loved, seek attention, seek appreciation, seek support.
But since a Man takes his wife for granted, he stops expressing love, praise and care. Because in his mind, he has lost interest in her, because she is boring on bed.

When other Men showers praises on the same woman, she mistakes it for care and love, and falls in the trap. While that other man is just using it as a trick to woo her to bed!

So, it's just a circle of seeking, all leading to good, intimate sex life!

Same Sex Marriages & the Judiciary

There is a very sensitive case being argued in the Supreme Court, on the Same Sex marriages.
The primary question being raised is - Should a court decide on such things, when the subject has a whole complex societal, cultural impact, and cannot be materials or proof based.
The judge opines "The question of a Man or a Woman is not just based on Genitals, it's far more complex".
Is it something to even introspect? Physiologically, biologically, naturally you are either a man or a woman, period. By all definition the Genitals, the hormones determine your gender identity.
Just because one feels otherwise, can that be the basis to decide gender? I might feel I am Modi, Pablo Escobar or a Wodeyar from inside, does it change anything? Can I demand others to treat me like one, just because I feel so from inside?
Going by this logic, a new born baby should never be classified. We have to wait for it to turn atleast 10 years, for it to say what it feels inside.
Personally I fail to understand this same sex attractions, when all you are trying to do is simulate what you would naturally do with the opposite gender!
Many, including me feel it's just a disease!

A Place to rest

You know my favourite place to rest? It's the place nothing but the best, Everytime I am there, it feels like a nest, That place is on my woman's chest. It's like a playground, I will be spellbound, The emotions turnaround, Between the mound, I sleep so sound.

Patriarchal Society

Our society is built on patriarchy, like it or not. Every subject is driven by men and around Men. Even spirituality and religions are designed to be men-centric, be it the Gods, Procedure, rules, regulations and the Godmen!
And our lust, passion for our religion is strong enough for us to pursue the patriarchy, if religion shouts out men bias in every practice, "it must be right".
There is an artificial feminism that has been making noise in the recent decades, but we all know it's just on the top layer.
Other Women are seen as an object of attraction, and our women are to be suppressed, controlled and protected from other men who are seeing our women as objects.
Any intimacy, skin show in public spaces are considered out of ordinary..because we Men cannot bear the sight of this female freedom, and get provoked probably of the bottled-up longings.
There is a school of thought by few psycho-analysts, that we Indian Men experience the desire to be a woman or yearn for a woman's body, because of the initial intimate and intense affection that we get with Indian style of Parenting by the Mothers.
The intense contact, devoted nurturing supposedly is missed and envied.

Those Corners and gaps!

Who doesn't like the sight of an attractive woman.
Every Man/Boy likes to look back and adore a good looking woman, letch at the corners, and appreciate god's stunning creation.
We live in an era where many Women loves to show off their gifts and flaunt them, the way they dress in the public, those who come to fame as Social Media influencers or the glamour industry. They feel it's obligation to be revealing!
In the same breath, majority of the common women do not wish to broadcast their womanhood.
While some women like a little attention and gaze, it becomes suffocating and agonizing when there are constant stare.
Many Companies strictly enforce POSH to protect women from any sexual harrassment.
We thought some professions like Teaching in Schools/Colleges were safer for women. But I was surprised to hear the challenges of the Teachers.
A Teacher at a secondary high school says even the boys make the teachers conscious by the constant stare at the corners and at the skin, she makes sure she is wrapped with appropriate clothing from top to bottom, to let the boys focus on the teaching. She gets an explicit reminder from all the boys, if even there is a small slip or gap.
This led to the Principal and some teachers incorporate strict dress code for both Teachers and the Girls wearing skimpy clothes on Colour dress days.
We want to be a progressive and not an oppressive society and culture. But when it comes to women safety, we (society as a whole, not just Men) are a society with lot of Dilemma, unsure where to stop, where to define rules, what is normal, what is freedom for both Men and Women.

The Poet in me - 2

Dime, Time, Shine

Every dime,
is a thing of time,
earning is a swine.
I spend my time,
thinking of my game,
realizing how I am fine.
Am not built to cry,
however they fry,
all I do is try,
how much ever you pry,
things let me dry,
I have my pie,
I know my path to sky.
Sometimes I frown,
wondering if I missed that crown,
only till I realise it's ok, that I am grown.

Summer

Ah, this summer!

You are such a bummer.
The hopes are glimmer,
When Bengaluru rains shower.
The water from the tap simmer,
Though you make us trimmer and slimmer,
But can't bear when you hammer, you summer!
You push the couple to two ends of the bed,
You make us itchy,
You make us sweaty,
You make the Electricity bill shoot up,
All elaborate arrangements to beat the heat, falls short,
You make our mouth eternally dry.
Probably we have become too intolerant towards everything, including the seasonal weather.
We are agitated when it rains, we fret when it's cold, we grumble when it's Hot out there.
Probably we were used to the pleasant Bengaluru weather throughout the year, where all seasons were friendly.

Fear

Run for your fear, run to your fear,
Outrun the fear,
What is that you hear, in your ear,
That is making you fear, let it go dear,
Be sincere, let it not fry you brother, chill out sister.
Think through it clear, don't let it near,
Overcome your fear.
Be a player, Don't be a naysayer,
Conquer your fear, Aim for the higher.
You come here, let me tell you clear,
You are my dear, will give you my spear,
Fear makes you tire, makes you a crier,
It will burn you like a tyre,
But with your fire, you will outrun the fear, that's when people will call you Sire.

Do you have it?

Do you have it?
To kick it, to beat it, to win it.
Do you love it?
When you are at it, you earn it, you own it.
Face it, to realize you haven't got it, to make it,
Feel it, what you can commit,
Leave it, don't trick it, fool it, dupe it,
Suck it, give credit, to one who has it.
Fuck it, that's life..is it?

Water

When I need to heal, When I need to find peace, I go look for water.
When I am sad, when I need to be alone, I go find Water.
When I am happy, when I want to celebrate, I dive into the Water.
Water is a breather, water is magic, water is life.
There is Water in the tears, water in the sweat.
Flowing water in the river is refreshing, bouncing water from the Falls is energizing, water in the ocean waves is calming, water in the rains is life, Cauvery water is an emotion, Ganga water is sacred, water in the pool is - Aaj blue Hein Pani, Pani, Pani!

The Poet in me - 1

My Hatred

Frustrated, with hatred,

Hatred for people who are wrongly wired,
People with their minds impaired,
Whose common sense has retired.
Yelled on the streets,
On people giving rules 2 hoots,
Gave them advise worth 2 cents,
Came home with my temper going nuts.
One guy who spoke but not liked by majority is jailed,
Another guy (many such) who speaks but not liked by minority is hailed,
Social harmony is failed,
Raise the voice, and you will be railed.
Demanding a separate nation is the fight for their freedom,
Fighting for this cause is their martyrdom,
Stopping them from their demand is the kingdom's wisdom,
Suppress all voices, and you have the stardom.

Groot

I wanna be the Groot,
Wanna go back to my root,
Knowing where to set my foot,
Tired of walking barefoot,
Don't want to be a part of the loot,
Lemme give it a boot.
Missing my root, oh shoot!
Let's do a reboot,
Lemme set a bigfoot,
I am the Groot!

Old school

Old school, if I still enjoy the company of my childhood friends.
Old school, if I want to spend my life remembering my first love, than finding new love.
Old school, if I love to drive on country roads, than 6-lane highways.
Old school, if I keep going back to nature to rejuvenate, than in the city.
Old school, if I still prefer my granny's recipes, than any new experiments.
Old school, If I enjoy 80s music.
Old school, if I refuse to come out of my nostalgic memories.
Old school, If I frown and advise an errant road user.
Old school, If I believe in loyalty.
Old school, if I find peace and strength in divinity, to every problem.
Yes, I am old school. If given a choice, I don't want to change anything from the 90s world, life and vibe.

That Place
You remember that place,
I was there with that face,
The air shimmered in the haze,
Going through that phase,
Did my best to please,
Never gave up the chase,
Stuck in a maze,
Oh, what a face!
I have been there thrice,
I was not that wise,
That time I had no choice,
I was a novice,
Now paying the price,
Yet feeling nice,
Though I miss that voice,
Worth the sacrifice,
Oh, those eyes!

Laadli

Laadli...vo tho Hein meri sasuraal ki laadli,
Dhoor rehkar bhi unki Jaan Hein, ye laadli,
Unka guroor Hein, ye laadli,
She is raised with the values of family,
She uses it wisely.
Laadli, vo jaathi Hein mayke regularly,
Phir bhi miss Karthi Hein unhe, badly.
Laadli, she keeps our home lively,
Takes care of us kindly,
And keeps things friendly,
Bathaathe Hein yeh sab, very proudly.
Laadli, sometimes she acts silly, does things oddly, girly, with her hairs curly, makes me a big bully.
Laadli, kha sakthi Hein roz Idli,
Maybe that's why she is homely, bubbly, gently, smiley and lovely!

Beach out far

A beach out far,
I yearn to drive down in my car,
With my mouth savouring a Cigar,
Next to me, would be my yaar and my pyaar.
I want to go and stay at that beach,
they say it's not really out of reach.
People who have been privy,
Say the beauty is worth the envy.
The water sparkles,
The waves splashes and the water sprinkles,
The sand under the foot tickles,
The sounds of the wave adds to the riddles.
I am stuck in my shell,
Though not really a hell,
Tired of being in the nutshell,
It just makes me unwell.
It's only fair,
Before ageing puts me in a wheelchair,
That I stop the despair,
And go and feel that air!
So, where is your beach?
"Beach" is a metaphor here.

Propriety of Truth

Propriety of Truth

By

Murali Murthy

It's a question of propriety of Truth.

How agnostic is your truth? Or is there any truth that is agnostic across the board?

If truthfulness of the truth is to be tested, then the obvious points towards facts. The problem to this is, if there are 10 facts one shares to believe "one man" is best that could have ever happened to our country, there would be 10 other facts another person gives to say "one man" is worse that could have ever happened to our country.

Facts that form acceptable explanation of a truth, is nothing but people's sincere belief in that Truth.

Each of us have our own truths. Each person following their own religion believe it's their God who is the creator & controller of the world, and each of us believe only our God is the absolute truth.

Irony, all of us live in this same world, follow the common social principles, yet believe all these are created exclusively for us.

Ignoring the differences both in practice and politics, within the religion and subsects, there are many basic differences within subsects. For ex: the day of fasting (Ekadashi) varies from one school to another. Each School's truth on this is different. Question this, and you will be told to not question that you do not have full knowledge on. Fair enough, but the astronomical facts cannot vary from one school to another.

And these differences are well taken advantage of, by the politicians. The very belief of our religion is our truth, and with the recent changes in our ecosystem, it is abundantly clear that no one wants to be questioned about their perceived truth.

The conflict starts the moment these independent truths are put to test.

Let's take this story that perfectly fits the present ecosystem - Put 100 red ants in a jar. Put 100 more black ants in the same jar. Nothing happens, all ants remain calm. Take the jar shake it rigorously, and you can see confusion, chaos and a fight between red and black ants killing each other, thinking the other was the cause of loss of harmony.

The ants would probably never know the real culprit - The one who shook the jar!

The same quest of truth is in the political circles as well. If I don't like the truth the other party says, I give myself the right to punish him, because it is righteous and justified to do so. Afterall, how could they question our decisions and way of ruling, because that's our truth.

And this pursuit of truth and the conflicts arising if a truth is questioned, is probably a daily affair for some of the forward thinking individuals.

Because their truth is an uncomfortable truth for me.

The fault lines between truths are so grave, that afterall there is nothing called as "Truth", everything is just POV - Point of View!
