ANALYZING COVID

As the second wave is surging and cases are breaking all records, the journey has been tough for all. From seeing unknown people on News channels, to hearing someone in the street/apartment being infected, to relatives, to friends, to now near and dear ones.
We can all sense it's right in front of us staring, and it feels like we are waiting for our turn to be infected.
People who have been extremely cautious, going that extra mile in taking precautions are being infected. Some of the infected individuals practiced insane levels of precautions.
We are all done blaming the Govt, blaming the system, blaming people for the spread. It's beyond everything, beyond us.
If BJP is inefficient in handling the crisis, so does Congress ruled states, so is Left ruled states and so is AAP ruled state.
If financially strong Countries, Developed countries, countries with advanced technology, countries with advanced medical research, countries having majority educated population don't have answers to Covid, why blame India, it's politicians, its people and it's health care?
While Vaccine induces hope and promise, not sure how many more years it would take for atleast 50% of population to be vaccinated.
It's now about us, about taking care of our loved ones. The focus should be on how can we as individuals help each other, and our society.
How can we protect ourselves and our family, and yet be of some use to as many as possible.
Let's move from Scare Mongering to Care Mongering.
What we see around now are panic-stricken people, scared of the unknown, worried about the possible complications, afraid of ending up in the horrifying situation we see on TV everyday.
With around 25 of my cousins, close relatives and friends being infected, and having heard them, seen them in close proximity with what they have gone through, I thought to do something useful with this article.
This is not a guide, this is not my opinion, this is not about how to fight the virus, nor gyan on dealing with this virus.
This write up is also not on what works, and what doesnt work, nor it is about what to do when you are infected.
With so many known people suffering from this virus, and many more who are anxious to know what will happen if they are infected, I did a small exercise in collecting their experiences and trying to bring some sense to this pool of data.
The intention of the survey and analysis is to gather information, understand general trend and identifying commonalities among the infected individuals, just for us to be aware and be informed.
The sampling size is way too small for it to be considered as a city wise, nation wide trend. But lack of similar data / study for 130 Cr population, makes this small survey more of experiential data just to get a sense of what's happening around us.
I have made a sincere effort to project the experiences as it is, without imposing my views/opinions and have converted experiences to data.
As I dug deep into the situation, realized system is overwhelmed, yet doing their best during a crisis, so many individuals and organizations are extending their helping hands in all possible ways, and every infected person is panicking and hitting SOS from Day 1.
The infected need to believe they fall under 96% category who recover well, even without hospitalization and strong willpower to mentally fight, the body will do the rest!
Laud your effort and the attempt to showcase data and awareness 👏👏

Thank You, but the intention is only to help us understand what typically happens, just to get an idea. The Sampling size for the survey is way too small to trust it fully.
